About the Li River

The Li river or Li Jiang is the river in the Yangshuo area. It originates in the Mao'er mountains in Xing'an and flows through Guilin, Xingping and Yangshuo. When people think of the Li river, they often think of Cormorant fishing which is still a big tourist attraction.

Along 100km the li river is being surrounded by karst peaks rising to the sky. Often the scenery is breathtaking. Must see places along the li river are:

* Reed-Flute Rock: a limestone cave with a large number of stalactites, stalagmites, stalacto-stalagmites, rocky curtains, and cave corals. Situated close to Guilin.

* Seven-Star Park: the largest park in Guilin.
Mountain of Splendid Hues: a mountain consisting of many layers of variously colored rocks. Situated close to Guilin

* Elephant-Trunk Hill: a hill that looks like a giant elephant drinking water with its trunk. It is symbol of the city of Guilin.

* Moon hill: A hill with a natural arch through it. It is located a few kilometers outside Yangshuo
Nine-Horse Fressco Hill. Located just a little outside Xingping
