On this page I will tell something about sights and activities that can be done in the Yangshuo surroundings. These can be done or visited when you decide to hire me as a guide.

Countryside tour by (motor)bike or car
Enjoy Southern China on a unique way using a (motor)cycle or a taxi. I can arrange custom tours for all ages. The views on the scenery are just beautiful. Enjoy how to people are working on the land. Li River cruises
The Li river is probably the most beautiful river in China.
I personally think that a trip on the Li river is even more spectactular then a boattrip on the Yanghtze threw the 3 gorges. The scenery is awesome. Just like a painting.
I can arrange a boat for you to travel on the most beautiful parts of the Li River. from Xing Ping to Yangdi. You will see the unique peaks of this area that made this place so famous.
Cormorant fishing and shows
The cormorant is a bird that can stay in the water for a long time to look for fish. Since thousand years or so the chinese fishermen have been using the cormorants to catch the fish they need to support theirselves and their family. You want to know how? Well, they tie a string around the cormorant's throat so it can't swallow big fish. Still some local people fish this way so if you wish, you can fish with the fisherman and fisherwoman. In the evening is the best time to see these birds show.
Their is a big show which is a major production with a cast of 600 singers, dancers, bamboo boats and cormorants birds. THe show is beautfil, but the best thing of all is the background scenery with lighting on the karst peaks.
Bamboo rafting on the Yulong River
I can arrange a baboo raft trip which is the easiest way to see the views along the Yulong River. There are also other raft operators at many different locations on the Yu-Long River.
Bamboorafting is a very quiet and peaceful way of traveling through the scenery along the river. Most raft trips take a couple hours time and start from the Yulong bridge.
Also swimming is possible in this river because the currents are not big and the river is not deep. If you do not want to swim at all then relaxing on the bamboo raft for several hours is the best option.
